Our students are learning about cultures from around the world through Performing Arts! 

During our Friday Flag Salute on April 14, 2023, Valerie Casillas and Phirina Bun led a group of students in a traditional dance to celebrate the Thai, Lao and Cambodian New Year. This event, also known as Songkran, is a significant time period in the Buddhist Calendar. People in many southeast Asian countries celebrate this festival with traditions such as building sand pagodas and pouring water over statues of the Buddha.
