On Monday, May 16th, Sierra Middle School families celebrated warmer weather and our music program at the Spring Band Concert! For this performance, students from the 7th Grade, 8th Grade and Beginning Band classes teamed up in the courtyard outside our library. Kristin Florek conducted the ensemble, which also included Lincoln Unified School District music teachers Jazareth Valencia and Cathy Ettle.

This was an exciting evening full of energetic and engaging songs for all ages! It also served as a reminder of LUSD’s comprehensive music instruction, which earned our district recognition from The NAMM Foundation as one of the 2023 Best Communities for Music Education.
