• One School, One Book

We are proud to share the joy of reading with Lincoln Elementary families through the One School, One Book program. Under this initiative, students of all grade levels read the same book at a similar pace, with the same chapter deadlines set for everyone. Students are encouraged to read at home with their parents or guardians, and to discuss what these books mean to them.

We provide interactive learning opportunities and projects where students can engage with the books they read by connecting the stories to their personal lives. As each of our classes read “Dog Days” by Karen English, students brought in pictures of their pets to post on a “Pet Parade” bulletin board in the cafeteria. Students were also encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal to class in honor of “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” by Kate DiCamillo. In March 2023, Lynx students of all ages began reading "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" by Judy Blume.

Information and assignments for current and upcoming books in this program can be found online, or by calling the Lincoln Elementary front office.
