John R. Williams is a learning community where everybody wants to be!

John R Williams School is one of nine elementary schools in Lincoln Unified School District.  LUSD is located in the San Joaquin Valley city of Stockton, about 40 miles south of Sacramento.  John R Williams School opened in 1958, and has an enrollment of approximately 620 students from preschool through 6th grade, with a K-6 Dual Language Program. Approximately 80% of John R. Williams students qualify for Title I services. We provide a high quality state and First 5 funded pre-school for children ages 3 and 4. We are serviced by a district psychologist, district nurse, Title I teacher,  library media aide, resource teachers, primary language paraprofessionals, speech therapist, and counselors. We also provide a 4th/5th grade Special Day class and a 5th/6th grade Special Day class. JRW provides opportunities for students to take advanced math, after school reading academy, and tutoring in Math and Language Arts.  John R . Williams School provides music programs which include: classroom music for all grade levels, band, strings and choir. We also offer opportunities for students through an After School Educational and Safety Program (ASES). Our Parent and Family Engagement Policy is active and viable for all parents whose children attend our school.
